Starting on May 8, the Great Danes' first game will be on May 9 as the one seed. They will take on the winners of game one, UMass Lowell.

GREAT DANE REWIND
- UAlbany is 30-12 with a 14-6 America East record.
- Before beginning conference action, the Great Danes earned an 11-6 record.
- Starting league play at Maine (Mar. 30-31), UAlbany opened with three wins before adding a 2-1 record against UMBC (Apr. 4-6) in their first home series.
- After adding two wins in a doubleheader sweep at UMass Lowell (Apr. 9), Bryant swept the Great Danes in three contests (Apr. 13-14).
- Welcoming Binghamton to UAlbany Field (Apr. 20-21), the Great Danes went 2-1 against the Bearcats with two shutout wins.
- Closing out the conference season with two three-game series against opponents already seen, UAlbany went 2-1 at UMBC (Apr. 27-28), including a no-hitter, and swept Maine (May 3-4).
- The Great Danes tallied three consecutive sweeps over the Black Bears during senior weekend to earn the America East Regular Season Champion title.
- UAlbany has added five non-conference wins during conference play - at Providence (Apr. 18), doubleheader against Army (Apr. 23), against CCSU (Apr. 25), and at Colgate (May 1).

AT THE PLATE
- Graduate students Morgan Petty (.368) and Caitlyn Mitros (.363) lead the team with their respective batting averages.
- Graduate student Maddi Petrella (.341) and redshirt-junior Victoria Vilarchao (.310) follow with batting averages above .300.
- Mitros owns a team-high with 49 hits while Petty leads with nine home runs and Petrella with 36 RBI.
- Graduate student Maddi Petrella has hit 12 doubles and seven home runs to hold the lead in extra-base hits (20). Petty follows close behind with 19 (nine HRs, one triple, nine doubles). Vilarchao (six doubles, five home runs) and freshman Mary Kate Murray (five home runs, five doubles) also have double-digit multi-base hits.
- Five Great Danes have hit one triple - sophomore Deanna Grahek, senior Jordan Nastos, Mitros, Petrella, and Petty.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Graduate student Wendi Hammond continues to serve as the Great Danes' starting pitcher.
- Finishing the regular season with a 1.98 ERA, Hammond leads with 162.1 innings pitched, 19 complete games, 21 wins, including seven shutouts, and 117 strikeouts.
- Redshirt-junior Kate Powers follows with a 2.26 ERA, nine complete games, 89.2 innings pitched, nine wins, four of which are shutouts, and 45 strikeouts.
- Junior Dominique Prevette has pitched for nine strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched.
- At the UMBC Spring Invite, Powers and Hammond combined for four complete games, including two shutouts and a no-hitter. Allowing just one earned run throughout the competition, Hammond ended the weekend with a 0.00 ERA while Powers tallied a 0.64 ERA.
- In their AE-opening series, Powers pitched a complete game shutout for just the second time this season. She allowed only one hit and one walk on her way to a 0.00 ERA in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
- Against Binghamton, Hammond pitched two complete games for the series win. Pitching just two walks in 12.0 innings, Hammond tallied a 0.00 ERA against the Bearcats.
- At UMBC, Hammond pitched a no-hitter for her second of the season.
- In their most recent weekend against Maine, Hammond and Powers combined for three complete-game shutouts.

ABOUT #2 BINGHAMTON
- The Bearcats are 14-6 in conference play to tie UAlbany for the regular-season title.
- Opening league action with two losses and one win to Bryant (Mar. 22, 24), Binghamton swept UMBC (Mar. 29-30).
- Adding five consecutive wins, Binghamton swept Maine (Apr. 14-15) and UMass Lowell (Apr. 17).
- After going 1-2 at UAlbany (Apr. 20-21), the Bearcats swept Bryant in their second go against the Bulldogs (Apr. 27-28).
- Binghamton closed the regular season with a win over UMass Lowell after two losses in the weekend's doubleheader (May 3-4).
- Briana Santos leads the team with a .331 batting average, 17 doubles, and 34 runs. Lindsey Walter is close behind with a .313 batting average.
- Alison L'Amoreaux owns a team-high 32 RBI while Shelby Carvalho has tallied 10 home runs.
- Brianna Roberts is the Bearcats' top pitcher. Pitching 85.2 innings, she owns a 2.29 ERA with 14 starts, eight wins, and seven complete games, including two shutouts. She has struck out 94 batters and walked 21.
SERIES AGAINST THE BEARCATS
- The Great Danes lead the Division I series, 55-15.
- Earlier in the 2024 season, UAlbany and Binghamton met for a three-game series.
- The Great Danes won the series, 2-1, with two shutout victories.
- After splitting the doubleheader, UAlbany won the rubber match, in five innings.
- The last tournament meeting between the two teams was in 2023. The Great Danes took a 6-0 victory on May 11.
ABOUT #3 BRYANT
- With one more game than the Bearcats and the Great Danes, the Bulldogs are just one game behind in conference play - 14-7.
- Splitting their first three league series, 2-1, against Binghamton (Mar. 22, 24), UMass Lowell (Mar. 29-30), and Maine (Apr. 7-8), the Bulldogs swept UAlbany in a three-game weekend series (Apr. 13-14).
- Continuing the pattern, Bryant swept UMass Lowell (Apr. 20-21) and fell in all three games at Binghamton (Apr. 27-28).
- Hosting UMBC for senior weekend, the Bulldogs went 2-1 to close the regular season.
- Alexis Clancy leads the team with a .373 batting average. Hannah Cochran (.345) and Makenna Coleman (.343) are close behind.
- Cochran and Aleix Hudson share the lead with 37 RBI.
- Three Bulldogs have double-digit doubles - Clancy (12), Hudson (14), and Cochran (10) - while six Bulldogs have at least five home runs on the season.
SERIES AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
- The Great Danes lead the all-time series, 9-8.
- In their regular-season weekend series, the Bulldogs swept the Great Danes. With one run-rule loss, UAlbany fell in two one-run decisions.
- Joining the conference in 2023, Bryant has yet to face UAlbany in the championship tournament.
ABOUT #4 UMBC
- The Retrievers finished the regular season with a near .500 conference record, 10-11.
- Opening with two sweeps, UMBC went 3-3 with a sweep over Maine (Mar. 22, 24) and falling to Binghamton (Mar. 29-30).
- Improving a bit, the Retrievers tabbed 1-2 series splits against UAlbany (Apr. 6-7) and UMass Lowell (Apr. 13-14).
- Adding three wins over Maine (Apr. 20-21), the Great Danes defeated UMBC, 2-1, throughout senior weekend (Apr. 27-28).
- The Retrievers closed out the season with a win and two losses at Bryant (May 3-4).
- Ella Squaires leads with a .401 batting average.
- Emily Riggs owns two team-highs with 34 RBI and seven home runs.
- Riggs is tied with Amya Lundy and Jerzie Nutile with six doubles.
- Pitching 153 innings, Kya Matter is the top pitcher with a 2.70 ERA from 10 wins, and 15 complete games in 24 starts. She has struck out 145 batters and walked 63.
SERIES AGAINST THE RETRIEVERS
- The Great Danes lead the series, 50-22.
- UMBC and UAlbany met for two three-game series during the 2024 season. Both were split in the Great Danes' favor, 2-1.
- The two teams have met in the championship game in each of the last two years. UMBC earned the win in each of them.
ABOUT #5 UMASS LOWELL
- The River Hawks finished the regular season with an 8-11 conference record.
- After a delayed start to league action, UML lost four games and earned one win in a three-game series at Bryant (Mar. 29-30) and a doubleheader against UAlbany (Apr. 9).
- After winning a three-game split at UMBC (Apr. 13-14), Binghamton (Apr. 17) and Bryant (Apr. 20-21) swept the River Hawks.
- UMass Lowell came away with three wins over Maine (Apr. 27-28).
- The River Hawks closed the series with a series win, 2-1, at Binghamton (May 3-4).
- Lea White owns a team-high .317 batting average. Morgan Fisher is close behind with a .308 BA.
- Flipping the switch, Fisher leads with 27 RBI and White follows with 22.
- Ryley White has pitched 134 innings for a 3.34 ERA in 20 starts with 14 complete games and 12 wins. She has struck out 164 batters and walked 49.
SERIES AGAINST THE RIVER HAWKS
- The Great Danes lead series, 23-20.
- UAlbany and UMass Lowell met just once for a midweek doubleheader during the 2024 season.
- The Great Danes swept with two shutouts, one in five innings and one no-hitter.
- The last tournament meeting between the two teams was two years ago (2022). The Great Danes tallied two victories - 6-5 on May 12 and 5-3 on May 13.
ABOUT #6 MAINE
- The Black Bears finished the regular season with one win in 21 America East games.
- Playing complete three-game series against all of their AE opponents, Maine saw UAlbany and UMBC twice.
- Their lone conference win came in a 5-1 win against Bryant (Apr. 7).
- Katie Jo Moery leads the team with a .268 batting average, nine doubles, and eight stolen bases.
- Anna Margetis owns two team-highs with three home runs and 15 RBI.
- Caitlyn Fallon is the Black Bears' top pitcher with a 6.41 ERA in 79.2 innings pitched. She has pitched two complete games in 13 starts.
SERIES AGAINST THE BLACK BEARS
- The Great Danes lead the series, 43-14.
- UAlbany and Maine met on two occasions for a three-game series each time.
- The Great Danes won all six contests with four shutouts.
- With the sixth seed, the Black Bears advanced to the final elimination game in 2023. Meeting UAlbany twice during the tournament, the Great Danes defeated Maine in both meetings - 7-3 on May 10 and 5-3 on May 12.
