- UAlbany owns a 4-21 record while going 3-5 in conference play.
- Opening their season against #9 Tennessee (2.23-25), the Great Danes narrowly fell 5-8 in game one before being defeated 6-21 and 0-12.
- Continuing their road stretch, UAlbany was swept in a three-game series by George Washington (3.3-3) and lost four contests to Purdue (3.9-10)
- After falling to Army, the Great Danes were swept in a three-game series at Georgetown (3.15-17).
- Opening conference play, UAlbany split a doubleheader against UMass Lowell (2.22) and then took two games in a three-game set against Maine (3.30-31).
- The Great Danes defeated Siena (4.2), 17-12, in a crosstown matchup.
- Most recently, UAlbany fell in a doubleheader at Marist (4.9).
- Will Binder owns a team-high 26 hits with 10 extra-base hits, including eight doubles, a triple, and a home run.

- Ryan Ferremi has been hitting the cover off the ball this month. Ferremi has hit .350 with two doubles and a home run while tallying eight RBIs.
- In the last contest, Anthony Scarabino had a three-hit performance with a triple and two runs scored.
- Over the past week, Levi McAllister has a team-high .462 batting average.
- Luke Filippi recorded four RBIs in the doubleheader against Marist.

Scouting UMBC
The Retrievers have gone 11-15 this season with a 3-3 conference record.
- Starting the season getting swept by Santa Clara (2.23-25), UMBC was then defeated by George Washington (2.27) and Rider (3.1).
- Splitting a doubleheader against Monmouth (3.3) for their first win of the season, the Retrievers then lost to Navy (3.5) and were swept by Lamar (3.8-10).
- Defeating Towson (3.12), UMBC claimed two games in a three-game series against Yale (3.16-17) and defeated Maryland Eastern Shore (3.19).
- After besting Delaware State (3.20), the Retrievers began conference play by sweeping Binghamton (3.22-24).
- Following a victory over Coppin (3.26), UMBC was swept by Bryant (3.29-30).
- Most recently, the Retrievers split a two-game series against Maryland (4.3-10).
- Matt Ryan leads the way on offense with a .330 batting average and 13 extra-base hits.
- Anthony Swenda has driven in a team-best 23 RBIs so far this season.
- Sam Downs has anchored the UMBC rotation with a 2.94 ERA through 33.2 innings of work.

2024 Captains
Will Binder,
Connor Eisenmann, and
Cregg Scherrer will serve as the captains for the Great Danes during the 2024 season. Binder enters his third season with UAlbany after starting his collegiate career at LaSalle. Since joining the Great Danes, he has started in 89 games and has a .325 batting average. Eisenmann returns to UAlbany for his fourth season. Through 37 appearances for the Great Danes, he has recorded a 5.93 ERA with 121 strikeouts and a .254 batting average against. Scherrer is a redshirt senior from Skaneateles, N.Y., entering his fifth season with the team. Appearing in 44 games, including 34 starts, Scherrer has struck out 195 batters and owns a 5.73 ERA.

2024 America East Preseason Poll
- UAlbany was picked to finish seventh in the 2024 America East Preseason Poll, earning eight points.
- The Bearcats were picked to finish first in the conference with 35 points, including five first-place votes.
- Maine, the defending champions, followed closely behind with 31 points and two first-place votes.
- UMBC (26) placed third, NJIT (19) fourth, and Bryant (18) fifth.
- UMass Lowell (10) and UAlbany rounded out the poll.

Bryant sits on top of the conference table having gone 8-1 to start conference play. UMass Lowell (4-4), NJIT (4-4), and UMBC (3-3) trail with a .500 record. Maine and UAlbany share a 3-5 record in conference play. Binghamton rounds out the conference with a 3-6 record.
