Short Story: The UAlbany men's basketball team traveled to Fairfield, Conn to take on Sacred Heart, coming away with the 74-66 victory over the Pioneers.
Coach Dwayne Killings: "I think guys just didn't see the space that we had or given up. We finally found it, Obviously, Amar'e makes two big threes, one against their zone, one against man. Justin buries a big three, Byron buries a big three on the baseline on a bounce play. I mean just big shots, and we got DeMarr at the rim. I thought we just finally found a rhythm which was really good for us."

- Amar'e Marshall led the Great Danes with 16 points off three big three's while recording seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Sully Adewale recorded six rebounds and one block with 12 points in the game.

How it Happened:
- Sacred Heart scored the opening basket of the game a minute in.
- UAlbany would go on a 7-2 run powered by four points from Sully Adewale to have the Great Danes lead 7-4 at the 15:49 mark in the first.
- Kacper Klaczek hit a jumper helping the Great Danes outscore the Pioneers 6-5 to maintain a 13-9 lead with 12:50 remaining in the half.
- A 9-2 run by Sacred Heart gave them the lead 18-15 with 8:55 to go in the first.
- The Pioneers extended their lead and outscored UAlbany 12-11 to go ahead 30-26 with four minutes to play before halftime.
- The Great Danes and Pioneers traded baskets to end the half with DeMarr Langford Jr. tipping in the ball with a second to spare with Sacred Heart leading 34-30 after 20-minutes of play.
- UAlbany started the second half with a 5-2 run led by a three pointer from Amar'e Marshall, cutting its deficit to one, 36-35.
- Sacred Heart would go on to outscore the Great Danes 7-4, jumping back out to a four-point lead, 43-39, with 14:51 to play.
- The Great Danes would regain the lead following a 10-0 run, highlighted by back-to-back three pointers from Marshall, to lead 51-49.
- Five points from Justin Neely, off of a layup and three pointers, would help push the Purple and Gold ahead 60-55 with 8:04 to go.
- UAlbany closed out the contest in a 10-3 run in the final four minutes of the game highlighted by a corner three and two free throws from Byron Joshua to secure the 74-66.
