Short Story: The University at Albany men's basketball team handed the Big Green its first loss of the season on the road, 87-73.
Coach Dwayne Killings: "I thought we did some good things in the second half. Our defensive intensity was a little bit better, and we rebounded the ball a little bit better. I thought Byron and DeMarr played a little bit frustrated at [at first] because I don't think the game went the way they wanted it to offensively. We told them to stay with the game and the opportunities will come for him. DeMarr makes a couple of plays early in the second half and Byron makes some plays early and late in the second half. [Kheni] Briggs was good through the stretch of the game. I thought
Amir Lindsey buried a big three and then, obviously
Justin Neely's minutes, both rebounding defensively and scoring the ball, were really impressive. I thought it was a big step of growth for the team to take the win and run away with it."
