SHORT STORY: The Eagles gained an early lead and despite a goal to close the gap, it was not enough as Boston College tallied the victory on their home turf, Sunday afternoon.
COACH PHIL SYKES: "It was a tough one today. Boston College was very sharp. They played at a high tempo and it took awhile for us to catch up. We will learn from this and get better."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College came out firing with two goals in six minutes to go up, 2-0.
- Delphine Le Jeune and Chiara Calicchia helped to prevent additional goals with defensive saves in the first quarter. Le Jeune's was a loose ball in front of the net with two attackers in the area just two minutes into the contest. Calicchia's defensive save came from a flurry of shots about a minute before the end of the quarter.
- UAlbany responded early in the second quarter as Charlotte Triggs scored a goal within 30 seconds.
- Receiving a pass from Alison Smisdom, Triggs sent the ball right through the goalie's feet for the goal.
- After a scoreless third quarter, the Eagle added a third goal in the fourth.
- Smisdom tallied the Great Danes' third defensive save in the last five minutes of the contest to prevent a fourth BC score.
NEXT: UAlbany is set to head to Maine for a road league game before hosting Senior Day against Colgate on Sunday, October 27.
