SHORT STORY: Scoring two goals before the end of the third quarter, the Great Danes clinched the right to host the America East Tournament, and at least a share of the Regular Season Champion title, with a win at Maine, Friday evening.
COACH PHIL SYKES: "Great battle today. It's always a tight game against Maine. I'm very proud of the team today. There was a lot riding on this game and we were fortunate to get out of there with the win."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first quarter, the Great Danes earned a 1-0 lead at halftime with a goal from Blanca Orsola.
- Restarting the ball after a foul, senior Alison Smisdom passed to Charlotte Triggs. Triggs saw Orsola in the circle and passed for a one-touch shot from the senior.
- About five minutes into the third quarter, UAlbany debuted a new penalty corner to score the second goal.
- Eva Jenniskens tipped a pass from Floor de Ruiter for the score with 10:18 on the clock.
- Maine closed the scoring gap with a goal in the fourth quarter but it was not enough as the Great Danes earned the victory to remain undefeated in conference play.
