SHORT STORY: On Wednesday night, UAlbany roared back after an early setback by overpowering Le Moyne to claim a commanding 3-1 victory.

KEY STATS
- Redshirt-junior Shynelle Woroniuk led the Great Danes with a double-double from 15 kills and 10 digs. Woroniuk also led both teams with four service aces.
- The Great Danes' offense was on fire with redshirt-junior Kendall Harris and sophomore Campbell Robinson both hitting over .500.
- Freshman Maria Olga Siapani had another Great Danes double-double with 24 assists and 13 digs.
- UAlbany had four defenders with double-digit digs in Siapani (13), freshman Kiki Provatas (12), Woroniuk (10), and senior Sthefany Carvalho (10).
- Robinson led both teams with five total blocks and redshirt-sophomore Gabriella Karman followed closely behind with four total blocks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Le Moyne started competitively in set one to take a four-point lead but UAlbany fought back to cut their lead to one.
- The Dolphins managed to gain momentum and pull ahead to make the score, 16-9.
- The Great Danes closed the gap to 20-18 with key kills from outside hitter Shynelle Woroniuk and opposite hitter Kendall Harris but Le Moyne finished strong to win the set, 25-21.
- UAlbany responded in the second set by jumping out to a 9-1 lead with three kills by Woroniuk.
- The fire caught quickly and the Great Danes wouldn't release their momentum.
- After a 12-2 scoring run by UAlbany, Le Moyne tried to gain some ground until the Great Danes sealed the set, 25-10.
- UAlbany opened with a commanding 5-0 lead in the third set to continue their force from the previous set.Â
- Le Moyne tried to hit back with a three-point scoring run but the Purple and Gold responded with kill after kill to make the score 15-7.
- With three kills from middle blocker Gabriella Karman and a 6-0 scoring run, the Great Danes ended set three, 25-10.
- UAlbany took control from the beginning of the final set by going up 14-3.
- The Dolphins tried to even the score with two three-point scoring runs but the Great Danes dominating offense was too much to handle.
- The match concluded with UAlbany winning, 25-12, securing the match, 3-1.
