BOSTON - University at Albany cross country runner
Tess Fitzmaurice has been named America East Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Fitzmaurice, a native of Greenville, N.Y., has led the UAlbany women in each of their three races this season. Most recently, the graduate student finished first at the RPI Harvest Classic on Friday, September 27. Combined with her teammates, the Great Danes finished first as a team at Friday's race.
Fitzmaurice is UAlbany's first cross country performer of the week since she received the same honor on September 14, 2022.
UAlbany's season will continue at Vermont's Fall Foliage Invitational on October 20.
