SHORT STORY: The Great Danes hit hard at the beginning of the contest to gain an early lead in a 3-1 victory over Maine, Friday afternoon.
COACH PHIL SYKES: "I am very happy with the team effort today. Maine is always such a tough opponent. We've battled them quite a bit in the last several years and I don't think we've beat them in a couple of years so this win was good. I loved our team mentality and our unity today. I am very pleased with the overall effort."
