SHORT STORY: Four Great Dane goals in an explosive third quarter led to a 6-2 victory over UC Davis, Friday afternoon.

COACH PHIL SYKES: "Great team effort. I know [UC] Davis had recently beat Stanford - they were playing with confidence and they have some very energetic players. We knew we had to be very disciplined early. An interesting part was that first period where we scored early and we were dominating … but we were not away from them and their goal tied it up quickly. It woke us up for the second half. The third period was an awesome team effort - it was goal, goal, goal and it iced the game for us. Everyone contributed in a super positive way and every conference win is massive."
