Football Announces Early Signing Class

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany football team and head coach Greg Gattuso have announced the addition of three new players to the Great Danes' squad for the early December 2022 signing period.

Aamir Hall

Cornerback – University of Richmond, Va.

 

Gattuso on Hall: “Aamir already has tons of experience and success in the CAA. He has played in 20+ games and racked up over 100 tackles, 19 passes defended and two interceptions in his two years at Richmond. He was named Freshman All-American by Phil Steele in 2021. He adds great length and experience to our secondary.”

 

The Hall Profile:

  • Totaled 106 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, 1.5 Sacks, 2 interceptions, and 19 passes defended during his time at Richmond
  • Earned Phil Steele Freshman All-American accolades

Troy Berschwinger

Linebacker – Guilderland HS, N.Y.

 

Gattuso on Berschwinger: “Troy is arguably the best defensive player in Section II. He has had an outstanding career at Guilderland and was recently named Defensive Athlete of the Year. We are very excited to keep Troy home. He will add athleticism and toughness to our linebacker room.”

Nolan Latulippe

Offensive Lineman – Champlain Lennoxville, Quebec

 

Gattuso on Latulippe: “Nolan is long and athletic with a massive frame and tons of potential. He is going to be a great addition to our OL room and will enroll early to start his development this spring.”
