Short Story: The University at Albany men's basketball team collected its first win of the 2022-23 campaign with a 74-47 win over Immaculata on Tuesday night. The Great Danes shot 63% from the field in the second half while limiting the Mighty Macs to just 15 shots, expanding the lead to 30 points.
Justin Neely, in his first game of the season, led the team with 16 points in 21 minutes of action.

"An unbelievable win from our guys in the second half. I think we kind of slept walked a bit in the first half. Coming off a back-to-back, playing twice in less than 20 hours… These guys really responded in the second half. They did a great job at halftime talking to each other, and that is what good teams do. They rally around and hold each other accountable, and I think our guys did a good job of that at halftime today."

How it Happened:
- Immaculata jumped out to a 7-3 lead as UAlbany started out just 1-6 from the field.
- The Great Danes cut the score to 7-6 before the first timeout of the game thanks to a three-pointer from Aaron Reddish.
- Justin Neely, who missed the season opener and both preseason games due to injury, made his presence known early with six points in the opening 12 minutes.
- UAlbany went on a 9-4 run to establish a 19-13 lead with seven minutes remaining in the half.
- With 3:25 remaining in the first half, Reddish threw down a powerful dunk that sparked the bench and put UAlbany up 24-17.
- At the half, Justin Neely led all scorers with eight, followed by Sarju Patel with six.
- UAlbany shot 40.7% (11-27) from the field and 30.8% (4-13) from deep in the first half. Immaculata shot 33.3% (8-24) from the field and went 0-7 from deep.
