SCORE: UAlbany 4, #16 Boston College 3 (2OT)
LOCATION: Alumni Turf - Albany, N.Y.
RECORDS: UAlbany 8-3, 2-1 America East | Boston College 5-6, 2-1 ACC
SHORT STORY: The Great Danes earned an early lead, 2-0, in the first quarter and, after the Eagles tied the score, won the game in double overtime, Sunday afternoon.
COACH PHIL SYKES: "We had a fantastic effort today. I am so happy with our team. We played really well and our momentum was very good. It's easy to play such a high-quality team like Boston College, who's in the ACC, and be a little overwhelmed. That was our challenge before the game, was to stay calm and composed and weather the storms. They have to run the play and see if we can keep our heads about us when we run those plays. Fantastic effort, so happy with how we battled. The finish in overtime with one second…great drama."
