SHORT STORY: After grabbing the first goal, the #23 Great Danes defeated #18 UMass in a double-overtime contest, Sunday afternoon.

COACH PHIL SYKES: "It was a great team effort today against a very good UMass team. Both teams played a hard fought game and it was fairly even throughout most of the game. We got a few good looks late in regulation but we could not convert. We played confidently in overtime and scored a nice goal in the second [overtime period] to get the win. I am very proud of our team as this was a tough weekend against two very good opponents."
