Head Coach Trevor Gorman: "Tonight was a good, competitive college soccer game. Marist is an excellent team and possesses the ball well. I thought our guys did really well limiting their chances and we created numerous opportunities of our own in the 90 minutes. Once a game gets to OT it always opens. I am pleased we found the moment to win it and hopefully we can keep the momentum going in to Friday."

How it Happened
- Austin DaSilva subbed into the game in the 23rd minute. Shortly after, he redirected a header off a serve into the crossbar, collected the rebound, and saw his follow-up shot deflected by the Marist defense and collected by the Red Foxes' goalkeeper.
- The first half ended without a score, and with Marist holding a narrow advantage in shots takes, 5-4. UAlbany goalkeeper Carlos Tofern, who finished the game with two saves, went untested in the first 45 minutes.
- In the 66th minute, Pantelis Panteli ripped a shot from long distance, on target. Marist's goalkeeper, Dylan McDermott, dived to his right, deflecting it out of bounds on the baseline for a UAlbany corner kick.
- With one final chance in regulation, Neophytos Scottis redirected a serve towards McDermott, who deflected the attempt off the crossbar. DaSilva collected it and attempted a draw, but the ball was cleared by the Marist defense.
- After 90 minutes of play, the game remained tied at zero, and UAlbany headed into its first overtime game of the season. Marist once again held a narrow shots lead for the half, 4-3, though UAlbany had broken through after the break, testing McDermott twice.
- In the 99th minute, a through ball into the box landed at DaSilva's feet, who dished it off to Saad Faiz. Faiz cut to his right around a Marist defender and took a shot at McDermott who deflected it right to a crashing Haflidi Sigurdarson, who ripped a shot into the open net to clinch the victory for UAlbany in overtime.
- Sigurdarson has now scored three goals on the season, and all three have been game-winners for the Great Danes.
