SHORT STORY: The Seahawks scored the first goal of the game but the Great Danes tallied four goals in a row, including three in the fourth quarter, to take the game, 4-1.

COACH ANDY THORNTON: "It was good to get the W today after a disappointing loss on Sunday. The girls responded well against a much improved Wagner, who made us work hard. I'm really happy with the fourth quarter and how the girls came out and played hard with a good tempo. We will recover and look forward to Sunday against a good UMass team."

KEY STATS
- Freshman Alison Smisdom scored three goals for her first collegiate hat trick.
- Sophomore Lara Mortz contributed the other four points of the game with two assists and one unassisted goal.
- The Great Danes held a 21-6 advantage in shots including all 11 shots of the fourth quarter.
- UAlbany also led with 17 shots on goal to the Seahawks' three.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seahawks were the first on the board with a goal in the 13th minute.
- Freshman Alison Smisdom tied the score for the Great Danes with less than five minutes left in the first half. Assisted by sophomore Lara Mortz, the two earned the goal during a penalty corner.
- Mortz added to her previous assist with an unassisted goal, a tally that would end up being the game-winning goal.Â
- Less than one minute later, the Great Danes won a penalty stroke and Smisdom scored her second goal of the game to give UAlbany a 3-1 lead.
- The first year earned the first hat trick of her collegiate career with less than three minutes on the game clock. Scoring in the same fashion as the first Great Dane goal, she was assisted by Lara Mortz during a penalty corner.
