Short Story: Men's soccer earns its first win of the season with a 4-0 victory at home over Saint Rose.

How it Happened
  • UAlbany's Austin DaSilva scored a goal just 5:15 into the match when he carried the ball from midfield and scored after speeding past a defender. DaSilva's goal was his first of the season and UAlbany's first in three games.
  • Shortly after his goal gave UAlbany a 1-0 lead, Haflidi Sigurdarson scored at 12:17 from inside the 18-yard box as UAlbany took a quick 2-0 lead. 
  • UAlbany held the 2-0 lead at halftime, even though Saint Rose held a 5-4 shots advantage through the first 45 minutes.
  • UAlbany struck again at 51:25 when an Adam Aoumaich corner kick hit off of Bjarki Ragnar's foot and Guillermo Mijancos blasted the ball past Saint Rose goalkeeper Ryan Henning. 
  • After back-and-forth play and one yellow card to each team, Aoumaich scored UAlbany's fourth and final goal. At 85:45, he took an Andrew Weiner cross and buried his second goal of the season from just outside the six-yard box.
  • Saint Rose held a 10-6 shots advantage and 4-2 corners advantage, but the Great Danes earned their first victory of the season, 4-0.
