SHORT STORY: In the low-scoring game, UAlbany outshot Stanford to take the one-goal victory and advance to the America East Semifinals.

KEY STATS
- Freshman Floor de Ruiter scored her fourth goal of the season to put the Great Danes on the board with the eventual game-winning goal.
- UAlbany outshot the Cardinal, 11-6, with a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.
- Throughout the first half, UAlbany tallied seven shots and did not allow one from Stanford.
- Freshman goalkeeper Lara Behn made four saves in the second half to secure the shutout win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game began with a scoreless first quarter, as the Great Danes tallied four shots on goal, all stopped by the Stanford goalkeeper.
- Late into the second quarter, Floor de Ruiter tallied what proved to be the only score of the contest during a penalty corner. The freshman collected a rebound to shoot the ball past the goalkeeper.
- Stanford kicked up offensive pressure during the second half, tallying the only shots throughout the final 30 minutes.
- Lara Behn, stopping all four shots on goal, did not allow the Cardinal to tie the score and secured the shutout win for the Great Danes.
NEXT: The Great Danes will move on to the America East semifinal tomorrow, November 5, competing against the two-seed, Monmouth, at 3 p.m.
