HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tar Heels jumped to an early lead with a goal in the second minute of competition.
- UNC advanced their lead with four goals in the second quarter.
- The Great Danes held off the Tar Heels in the third quarter, only allowing two shots.Â
- UAlbany added offensive pressure in the fourth quarter, compiling four of six total shots in the final 15 minutes of play.Â
- The Great Danes had a couple opportunities with three penalty corners in the fourth but the Tar Heels stopped all UAlbany advances.

NEXT: The Great Danes will host another weekend with two home games. Stanford visits for a Friday afternoon game on October 8 before New Hampshire arrives for a game on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 10).
