GREAT DANE REWIND
- The Great Danes opened the season with a 5-1 win over Colgate (8/27) before falling 2-1 against Fairfield (8/29).
- UAlbany beat Wagner (9/3), 4-1, for its first road game of the season but followed it up with three losses to UMass (9/5), No. 9 Penn State (9/10), and Columbia (9/12). During the final weekend of pre-conference games, the Great Danes earned a victory over Cornell (9/17) and a loss against No. 1 Michigan (9/18).
- To open America East play, UAlbany bested Vermont in a 3-2 overtime win on September 26.
- Most recently, the Great Danes earned two conference wins against Stanford (10/8) and New Hampshire (10/10).
- Senior Robyn Murray scored the first goal of the season on August 27.
- Alison Smisdom leads the team with 24 points from ten goals and four assists. The freshman scored her first career hat trick at Wagner.
- Senior Elaina Burchell follows, scoring her third goal of the season against Vermont, totaling 8 points, with three goals and two assists.
- Freshman Floor de Ruiter was named America East Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal against Stanford and another impressive game-tying goal against New Hampshire.
- Half of the field players (nine student-athletes) have contributed at least one point, with eight different goal scorers.
- In net, freshman Lara Behn leads the goalies with a .714 save percentage and a 1.80 goals against average in 598:55.
- The Great Danes have totaled 164 shots and 87 penalty corners in 13 games.
ABOUT UMASS LOWELL
- To open the season, UMass Lowell won 5-0 against Bryant University (8/29).
- After falling to No. 6 UConn (9/5), the Riverhawks won their next three games - Boston University (9/10), Hofstra (9/12), Wagner (9/17) - before starting conference play.
- UMass Lowell opened America East play against UC Davis on September 24, winning 2-1, in double-overtime with a game-winning goal from Hannah Keefe.
- The Riverhawks fell in their next three conference games, California (9/26), New Hampshire (10/1), and Monmouth (10/8), making their conference record 1-3.
- UMass Lowell added two non-conference games against Sacred Heart (10/3) and Holy Cross (10/11) for two victories.
- Berbel Rozema leads UMass Lowell with sixteen points from six goals and four assists.
- Rozema had a hat trick against Holy Cross, scoring two of her three goals in the first quarter.
