CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Two members of the University at Albany women's golf team, Helga Einarsdottir and Madison Walker, earned All-American Scholar honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association, announced Monday.
 
Einarsdottir, a senior from Seltjarnarnes, Iceland, who earned MAAC All-Academic honors this spring, earned a 3.81 GPA studying Accounting.
 
Walker, a sophomore from Bermuda Dunes, Calif., also earned All-Academic honors from the MAAC, pulling down a 3.86 GPA studying Environmental & Sustainable Engineering.
 
Einarsdottir and Walker were two of a total of 1,401 student-athletes recognized by the WGCA for their academic excellence.  To qualify for the honor, an individual must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
 
The UAlbany women's golf team saw their 2020 spring season cancelled after one competition due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
