Short Story: Aliyah Wade notched a season-best three hits and two RBI to lift the University at Albany softball team to a 5-4 win against Robert Morris on the final day of the La Quinta Inn & Suites BWI Classic on Sunday afternoon.

BALTIMORE, Md: Aliyah Wade, who went a perfect 3-for-3, notched two RBI as the Great Danes edged Robert Morris 5-4 on Sunday afternoon.
Katie Falotico broke open the scoring with an RBI groundout that plated Mariah Miramontez who reached base with a leadoff walk. Sarah Petzold followed with a solo homerun to left field that grew UAlbany's advantage to 2-0.
Robert Morris answered in the home half of the inning. Brittany Seibert single and came home on Abrielle McCartney's RBI outfield single, before McCartney stole second to put herself into scoring position. McCartney later came around to score when Briana Bunner single through the left side of the infield.
The game remained tied until the top of the fourth when Wade hit a bases loaded single that scored two runs. Robert Morris would cut the different to one run, 4-3, in the bottom half of the inning with a solo shot to center field.
The Great Danes added another run in the top of the seventh to extend their advantage to 5-3. The Colonials would make it a one run game following a UAlbany throwing error, but the Colonials would get no closer as the Great would go on to get the 5-4 win.
Up Next: The Great Danes open home action on Saturday, March 30 against Colgate. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
