Four other Great Danes added multiple hits on the day, including Kelly Barkevich, who totaled two RBI, and Mariah Miramontez (1 RBI).
Game one started as a defensive battle with a handful of batters stranded through the opening two innings before Henige got UAlbany on the board with a two-run homer. The squad increased their lead to 3-0 the next inning when Love Drumgole came around to score on a UMBC throwing error. The lead was short-lived, though, as Kaly Winslow hit a three-run blast to knot the game 3-3.
Maranda Jimenez and Taylor Light combined to retire five of UMBC's final six batters, allowing the Great Danes to pull away, 7-3, in the fifth on an RBI double from Barkevich and pair of Retriever miscues. UAlbany rounded out the scoring in the sixth, tacking on four insurance runs to solidify the 11-3 decision.
Falotico began game two with a double for the Great Danes' first hit of the contest, although UAlbany did not scratch across a run.
In the third inning, Robert Morris tacked on a pair of runs off back-to-back hits to extend its margin to 4-0. The Great Danes continued to battle, though, as Alexis Phillips, who reached base on a fielder's choice, came around to score in the home half of the fifth. The Colonials would go on to win the game, 5-1.
