UAlbany took a 1-0 lead when Elaina Burchell send a shot past the Columbia defense and into the cage in the 6th minute. The Lions made it a 1-1 game behind a goal from Kelsey Farkas at 19:55.
UAlbany regained the lead in the 24th minute behind Julie Rodijk's first collegiate goal. On the play, Kelsey McCrudden inserted the ball to an open Rodijk who sent one into the back of the cage.
Baylee Burghardt added an insurance goal in the fourth quarter. Brughardt's tally was her sixth of the season, marking a career-high for the senior.
