Short Story: UAlbany baseball clinched the final spot in the 2018 America East Tournament winning the first of two games at UMBC to close the regular season.

Game Two

  • UMBC got on the board quickly with two runs in the bottom of the first
  • UMBC took a 3-0 lead with one run in the bottom of the second
  • Travis Collins hit an RBI single to first to put UAlbany on the board with two outs in the top of the fifth, UAlbany's only run of the game
  • UMBC scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth, and one run in the bottom of the sixth to bring the final score to 6-1

Next: UAlbany has clinched the six seed in the America East Tournament.  The Great Danes will play three-seed UMBC at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Maine.
