Senior pitcher Devin Durando led the UAlbany Great Danes to an 5-0 victory over DSU in the final game of the series. Durando struck out eight batters.
UAlbany pulled ahead of DSU quickly in the first inning scoring two runs. With bases loaded, Kelly Barkevich hit a two RBI-single that brought Chelsea Henige and Katie Falotico around to score.
The game remained 2-0 until the fifth inning when UAlbany scored three more runs.
Katie Falotico singled through the right side and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Falotico scored on a wild pitch on the next play. Kelly Barkevich then hit an RBI-single to left field that brought Chelsea Henige to home plate. The final run of the game was scored by Sarah Petzold when Donna Conrad flied out to right field. The final score was 5-0 UAlbany.
