Short Story: The No.17 UAlbany field hockey team claimed the America East East Division title with a 3-0 victory at Vermont on Sunday afternoon. The Great Danes conclude the regular season with a 6-2 clip in conference play and earn the No. 1 seed in the league tournament held Nov. 1-4 at Stanford University.

Recap: The No.17 UAlbany field hockey team claimed the America East East Division title with a 3-0 victory at Vermont on Sunday afternoon. The Great Danes conclude the regular season with a 6-2 clip in conference play and earn the No. 1 seed in the league tournament held Nov. 1-4 at Stanford University.

UAlbany won its eighth America East Regular Season Championship in program history (06, 08, 09, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18).

Beerkens broke open the scoring with an early tally in the 16th minute of the opening period.

Early in the second half, Bozek connected on a pass with Beerkens who added her second goal of the game to give her team the 2-0 edge. Bozek sent an initial shot from the top of the circle before Beerkens got her stick on it for the tip-in.

UAlbany tacked on its final goal in the final 10 minutes of action. This time it was Bozek who found the back of the cage as the junior finished the day with three points.

Goalkeeper Melissa Nealon denied two shots in net while her counterpart picked up three saves.

Next Up: The Great Danes will head to California as the No. 1 seed from the Eat Division for the America East Tournament.
