On April 9, 2026, the University at Albany women’s soccer program and head coach Sade Ayinde announced the hiring of Chance Hendricks as the program’s newest assistant coach.
Hendricks spent the past two seasons at Westminster College as a graduate assistant under head coach Girish Thakar, joining the Titans’ staff in August 2024. She played an integral role in the program’s success, helping lead the team to the 2024 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Regular Season Championship.
Hendricks contributed across all areas of the program, with primary responsibilities in recruiting, player development, scouting, and operations. She led all recruiting efforts, coordinating on- and off-campus evaluations, managing recruiting schedules, and organizing campus visits. Her work in talent identification and relationship-building helped strengthen the program’s pipeline and overall roster quality.
On the sideline, Hendricks was instrumental in player development, mentoring goalkeeper, Morgan Murphy, the PAC Defensive Player of the Year and contributing to the growth of eight All-Conference selections. She worked closely with student-athletes to enhance technical execution and tactical understanding, while also leading opponent scouting and film breakdown to inform match preparation and game strategy.
In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Hendricks was selected to participate in two nationally recognized leadership development opportunities in 2025. With the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar, she was one of 200 young professionals chosen across NCAA institutions to work and learn directly from the NCAA national staff. Through WeCoach Academy, she was selected to be a part of the 55th class of the WeCoach Mentorship Program which focuses on the advancement and mentorship of women in coaching.
Prior to her coaching career, Hendricks was a three-year letterwinner and starter at Marist College, where she appeared in 32 matches and made 27 starts as a midfielder and defender. She was also a member of the Ladies Empowering Athletics Program (LEAP), a leadership initiative focused on personal and professional development.
A native of Dublin, Pennsylvania, Hendricks earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Marist College in May 2024 and is set to earn her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Westminster College in May 2026.
