• Ava Phillips is the daughter of Nicole and Ernest Phillips.

• Her father, Ernest, played collegiate basketball at John Jay College.
• Her cousins, Identical twin brothers Julian and Justin Chamoagnie, both played collegiate basketball before reaching the NBA. Julian played at St. John's and currently plays for the San Antonio Spurs, while Justin played at Pittsburgh and currently plays for the Washington Wizards.
• Intends to major in Criminal Justice.
