Jordan Orlovsky returns for his eighth season at UAlbany in 2026. He currently serves as the team’s director of football operations as well as UAlbany’s recruiting coordinator.

As the director of football operations, Orlovsky is responsible for the management of all contracts, travel logistics, and the daily internal operations of the football department, establishing a reputation for organizational excellence.

Orlovsky originally joined the Great Danes in 2018 as an offensive assistant before departing for a season at Muhlenberg College. He returned to Albany in 2020, serving as the director of football operations and outside linebackers coach through 2021.

Starting in 2022, Orlovsky was named the team’s running backs coach. In UAlbany’s historic 2023 season, his work with the run game helped propel the Great Danes to their first-ever CAA title and an appearance in the NCAA FCS Semifinals. Under his guidance, running back Griffin Woodell was named the 2023 CAA Rookie of the Year and a Freshman All-American.

Throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Orlovsky also served as the program's chief of staff and was later named the program’s special teams coordinator (2025). During the 2025 campaign, he managed the team's administrative needs while simultaneously overseeing the running backs and special teams units. His leadership was instrumental during the program's transition periods, providing continuity and veteran experience to the coaching staff.

Prior to his rise through the ranks at UAlbany, Orlovsky built an extensive coaching resume at several high-level programs across the country. He spent the 2017 season as the linebackers coach at Fordham University, where he mentored Freshman All-American Glenn Cunningham. Before his time in the Patriot League, he served for three seasons as a graduate assistant at Old Dominion University, contributing to a 10–3 season and a victory in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl in 2016. His coaching journey also included stops at the University of Connecticut, where he worked with the linebackers and secondary, and his alma mater, the University of Miami.

Orlovsky graduated from the University of Miami in 2009 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Sports Administration and earned his graduate degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2014. A native of the Northeast, Orlovsky has spent over a decade developing student-athletes and managing the complex logistics of Division I football programs.
