Billy Bonneau

Billy Bonneau enters his first season with the UAlbany football team in 2015.

Bonneau spent the 2014 season on staff at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as the Engineers’ wide receivers coach.

Prior to RPI, he was the football operations intern at Villanova University, where he assisted the coaching staff in their preparations for the upcoming season, including participating in film study of the opposition. He also helped manage prospect camps and the recruiting database. That followed a semester of aiding the St. John Fisher College football staff by evaluating student-athletes during on-field drills as well as film study following practices.

A native of Colonie, N.Y., Bonneau spent the summer of 2013 working the Buffalo Bills training camp as an intern. He assisted in coordinating logistics for the entire session, while also documenting the event using several forms of media, including writing and video.

He was a double major at St. John Fisher, graduating in 2014 with degrees in journalism/communications and legal studies, while minoring in sport management. Bonneau was one of 24 students to earn St. John Fisher College Service Scholar recognition, awarded to those who exemplify a commitment to community service. A member of the student newspaper who covered the football team, he was selected to Lambda Pi Eta, a communications honor society. Bonneau also participated in track & field for the Cardinals.
