Helling enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Great Danes, after playing her final collegiate season with the Great Danes last year.

Before coming to Albany, Helling played in Australia with the top level Camberwell Hockey Club. She was also previously a member of Czech Republic top club, which won the Czech Championship in 2009. She spent three years with Mannheimer Hockey Club in both indoor and outdoor squads, and also played on top level club, English Football Club in Hong Kong.
