How it Happened:

• Kiara Levac took the first shot of the match for UAlbany within the 1^st minute.
• The Great Danes were first on the board when Oluchi Njoku found the back of the net in the 21^st minute to make it 1-nil.
• Goalie Claudia Volino tallied her first save of the night at the 35^th minute.
• Just over three minutes later, Angie McLoughlin netted her first goal of the season to extend the lead and make it 2-nil in the 38^th minute.
• Following the halftime break, Kayla Cassidy of Stonehill scored on a penalty kick in the 80^th minute to cut the lead to 2-1.
• The Skyhawks tallied three shots over the remainder of the match, but were unable to even the score, and UAlbany walked away with a 2-1 victory.

 
Up Next: The Great Danes will remain at home to take on Le Moyne on Sunday, September 6. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.
