- Rodrigo Hermelo took the first shot of the match for the Great Danes in the 10'.
- David Barkan forced Princeton goalie Andrew Samuels to make a save in the 16'
- Caleb Vallance was fouled inside the box in the 17' and was awarded a penalty kick, which was ultimately saved by Samuels to keep the score even.
- The Tigers took the lead in the 33' when a Tyler Vilet header found the back of the net to make it 1-nil.
- Owen Tuttle tallied a shot as the first half came to a close, and the score remained 1-nil at the half.
