Score: UAlbany 6, LIU 5
Location: Varsity Field – Albany, N.Y.
Records: UAlbany (7-18, 4-5 America East) | LIU (10-15, 10-5 NEC)
Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team rallied in the eighth inning to take home a midweek victory over the Long Island University Sharks.
Head Coach Jon Mueller: "I thought the key for us today was playing fundamental defense. We gave up way too many bags, but when you play good defense, you can keep yourself hanging around. Really evenly matched game, but we were able to get a big hit from
Tre Mariano late – he had a big day.
Tyler Kneller did a great job nailing it down at the end."
