Event: Sarasota 2K
 
Location: Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla.
 
Short Story: The University at Albany women's rowing program competed at the Sarasota 2K from Friday, March 27, to Saturday, March 28. On Friday, each boat qualified for the C Finals, which took place on Saturday morning. The women's varsity 8+ took home a second-place finish in their final with a time of 7:20.32, while the second varsity 8+ recorded a fourth-place finish, in 7:34.30, a nail-biter against Old Dominion, which finished third at 7:33.94. The varsity 4+, which kicked off the Great Danes' morning, finished seventh in their final with a time of 9:22.37.

Next Up
The Great Danes will next take the water on Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, at the Knecht Cup Regatta in Pennsauken, N.J., on the Cooper River.
