HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryant opened with three early field goals to build an eight-point lead as UAlbany worked to settle into its offense.
- Senior Gabriela Falcão converted a second-chance layup, and Júlia Palomo Vicente buried a transition three to keep the Great Danes within reach, trailing 13-9 after one.
- Delanie Hill sparked the offense with a pull-up jumper and a three to cut the deficit to two midway through the frame.
- UAlbany battled defensively, but Bryant closed the half on a short run, sending the Great Danes into halftime down 24-17.
- Out of the break, Lara Langermann knocked down an early three, and Amaya Stewart attacked the rim and the line as UAlbany trimmed the margin to a single possession.
- Bryant answered with timely outside shooting to maintain separation, with the Great Danes trailing 36-29 entering the fourth.
- Langermann caught fire from deep with back-to-back threes, and Palomo Vicente added another from the wing to pull UAlbany within three with under two minutes left.
- The Great Danes forced stops and created late looks, but Bryant converted at the free throw line in the final seconds to secure the 50-44 result.
