SHORT STORY: Skyler (Smith) Hines and Jerry Lewis each led their respective sides at the 2026 America East Championships, Friday afternoon. 

KEY NOTES

• The women's race kicked off the meet at 11 am. Vermont (61 points) earned the team win with two of the top-three finishers, followed by Maine (69 points) in second, and UMass Lowell (101 points) in third. The River Hawks' Mary-Kate Finn (17:05.7) took the individual championship. 
• Graduate Skyler (Smith) Hines earned her first All-Conference honors, finishing seventh with a time of 17:40.0. 
• Hines was followed by sophomore Arianna Verardi who finished 25th (18:13.8), and finished 27 places higher than she did at last year's meet. 
• The men's race followed at 12 pm. UMass Lowell (49 points) took their seventh consecutive team championship, Vermont (61 points) earned second place, and UMBC (69 points) took third place. Binghamton's Robert Mayclim tabbed the individual victory with a time of 23:59.7. 
• Junior Jerry Lewis led the men's side, finishing 48th with a time of 25:27.9. Lewis placed five places higher than he did last season.
