  • With two outs on the board and freshman Charlotte Lomb on second base, sophomore Taylor Quinn singled and senior Caitlyn Frederick walked to load the bases.
  • Mary Kate Murray hit a single deep into centerfield to bring in two runs. As Frederick ran for a possible third run, Murray was called out at second to end the inning.

  • The Great Danes once again scored with two outs on board; this time in three consecutive hits from Sara Anderson, Victoria Vilarchao, and Lomb.
  • After Anderson got on base with a single, Vilarchao brought her home with an RBI double. Lomb followed with an RBI single to bring Vilarchao home for the Great Danes' fourth run.
  • Both teams went scoreless in the fourth and fifth innings.
  • Senior Christie Collins quickly made it to second base off a single and a stolen base to open the sixth inning.
  • As the defense made an error, Quinn was safe at first and Collins took advantage to score a run.
  • UAlbany's sixth run was scored with two outs on the board as junior Deanna Grahek brought in Frederick from second base with a single to right field.
  • On top of their game, the Great Dane defense once again retired the UMBC batters in order in the bottom of the sixth.
  • For the fourth time, UAlbany scored two runs in an inning to take an 8-5 lead after the top of the seventh.
  • With two runners on, a wild pitch put both Anderson and freshman Ava Beal in scoring position.
  • Collins (fielder's choice) and Quinn (sac fly) earned an RBI each as Anderson and Beal crossed home for the run.
  • UMBC loaded the bases with their first three batters in the bottom of the seventh.
