- Three minutes in, Dylana Williams and Courtney Rowe both tallied their 13 goals of the season, helping the Great Danes start off to a 2-0 lead before Vermont recorded four unanswered goals to make it 4-2.
- UAlbany closed out the first quarter as Mikaela Mooney recorded her ninth goal of the season, along with D. Williams tallying her second of the game to make it tied, 4-4 after 15 minutes of play.
- Kendall Travels opened the scoring in the second quarter for Vermont before D. Williams recorded her hat trick goal against the Catamounts with 10:37 to go.
- 20 seconds later, Kloey Roos found the back of the net for the first time since returning from an injury at the end of last season, making it a 6-5 Great Dane lead.
- The Great Danes would go on to outscore the Catamounts 5-1 over the next 8:30 minutes, highlighted by D. Williams fourth and fifth goal of the game, to give UAlbany an 11-7 lead at half.
