How it Happened 

• Kyle McCaffrey started the game for the Great Danes and Kaden Youmans started on the mound for Army.
• Army jumped out to an early four to nothing lead in the bottom of the first after Jack Quinlan launched a three-run homerun and Paul Andrzejewski hit an RBI double.
• Dom Trippi came in to pitch for Army in the top of the second.
• The Danes answered back with two runs of their own in the top of the second, thanks to both Cooper Loyal and Luke Myers walking with the bases loaded.
• Kevin Reavey then came in to finish the top of the second on the mound for Army.
• Luke Boule came in to pitch for the Great Danes in the bottom of the second.
• UAlbany then pulled within one in the top of the third, after a groundout to second scored Ryan Ferremi.
• The Black Knights then added two to their lead in the bottom of the third after another Andrzejewski double that scored two.
• In the bottom of the fourth Matthew Mariano came on to pitch in relief for the Danes.
• Army tacked on another two in the bottom of the fifth after Zac Farrell stole home and Thomas Schreck hit a single that scored Andrzejewski.
• Walker Calvo came in to pitch for The Black Knights in the top of the sixth.
• Ethan Nardacci came in to pitch for UAlbany in the bottom of the sixth.
• In the bottom of the seventh, a fielding error by the Danes led to Army taking a nine to three lead.
• The Danes started to chip away in the top of the seventh, as Ryan Ferremi knocked in Luke Myers on a single.
• Christian Mello entered the game to pitch for UAlbany in the bottom of the seventh.
• Army's lead grew to eight in the bottom of the seventh, after Jack Quinlan hit a double that scored two runners and Zac Farrell knocked in another with a single.
• Joe Valchar came in to pitch for The Black Knights in the top of the eighth.
• In the bottom of the eighth, Army scored two more runs after RBI singles from William Parker and Justin Lehman.
