ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany men's basketball team has advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Jersey Mikes America East Men's Basketball Playoffs and will take on the No.1 Bryant Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 11, at 9:00 pm on ESPN2

• On the glass, Neely records a team-high 214 rebounds (59 off – 155 def), averaging 7.1 per game.
• Joshua owns a team-high 80 assists.
• Kacper Klaczek leads the team in denying shots with 25 total blocks.
• Langford Jr. tallies a team-high 47 steals.
• In minutes, DeMarr Langford Jr. leads the team with 979 total minutes played, averaging 31.6 minutes per game.
• Joshua and Langford Jr. are the only two Great Danes averaging 30 minutes or more, with Joshua at 34.9 minutes per game and Langford Jr. at 31.6 per game.  

 
Scouting Bryant
The Bulldogs are coming off an America East quarterfinals win against No.8 UMBC, 85-74. This season, Bryant is averaging 82.2 points, 30.1 field goals, 8.0 threes, 14.1 free throws, 41.1 rebounds, 14.9 assists, 11.8 turnovers, 6.7 steals, and 6.0 blocks per game.

The 2025 Kevin Roberson Player of the Year, Earl Timberlake, is the only player in the country averaging more than 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game this season and ranks second in the league, averaging 8.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and blocks 1.7 blocks per game with a team-high 256 total rebounds with 256 (74 off – 182 def) and assists at 142.
 
Leading the points tally for the Bulldogs is Rafael Pinzon with 542 total and an average of 18.7 per game. Pinzon is shooting 197-467 (.422%) from the field, 81-207 (.391%) from beyond the arc, and 67-76 (.882%) from the line. Connor Withers has tallied the most minutes of any Bryant player (1095) and is averaging over 34.2 minutes per game.

February 6, 2025 | The University at Albany Men's Basketball handed the Bryant Bulldogs their first conference loss of the season, defeating the Bulldogs on the road 68-63. Neely led UAlbany with nine rebounds while recording 12 points. DeMarr Langford Jr. tallied 12 points, going 6-9 (66.7%) from the field for a team-high field goal percentage. Amar'e Marshall was the Great Danes leader in assists with three. Kheni Briggs, Langford Jr., and Marshall all recorded one block. As a team, UAlbany shot 26-62 (41.9%) from the field, 5-20 (25.0%) from the three, and 11-17 (64.7%) from the line. The Purple and Gold out-rebounded Bryant 43-39 and recorded eight steals to the Bulldogs' six.
 
Last Time Out   
March 8, 2025 | The UAlbany men's basketball team defeated No.5 seed Binghamton in the Jersey Mike's America East Men Basketball Quarterfinals, 69-66.  Amar'e Marshall led all scorers with 20 points, Byron Joshua followed with 16 points. DeMarr Langford Jr. led off the glass with 11 rebounds. Amir Lindsey recorded the most assists with three. Kacper Klaczek and Langford Jr. shared the team-high in blocks with four each. Joshua tallied the most steals with two. The Great Danes went 26-69 (37.7%) from the field, 10-32 (31.3%) from beyond the arc, and 7-9 (77.8%) from the line. This is the first playoff win of Head Coach Dwayne Killings' collegiate head coaching career.

Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops is officially back for a third season! Coaches Dwayne Killings and Colleen Mullen, along with select student-athletes, will join ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team's Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl every Monday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. live from City Line Bar & Grill for a weekly segment entitled 'Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops.    
    
Fans are invited to come out to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Killings, Coach Mullen, student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew. Food and drink specials will be available every week as the teams embark on their new seasons and talk hoops every Monday.    
    
Postgame Show   
The UAlbany Basketball Postgame Show returns this season to 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio. The show will begin immediately following all games, home and away, for fans to listen to as they commute home or tune in from a distance.   
    
The show is set to run for 30 minutes following the final buzzer on 104.5 The Team. Fans will hear initial reactions and a game recap to start the segment, followed by interviews with the team. Coach Dwayne Killings and select student-athletes will join ESPN Radio's Rodger Wyland and Michael Johnson Jr. to break down the contest, give insights, opinions, and responses, and discuss the team's next matchup.   
    
Fans can tune in to ESPN Radio 104.5, the Team, by turning the dial on their radio or by streaming on their computers or smartphones.
