- Syracuse started the game by scoring six straight goals before Paisley Cook recorded UAlbany's first goal of the season with 6:52 left on the first.
- The Orange would tally two more goals before Emma Torkoff would give the Great Danes goal number two of the evening to make it 8-2 Syracuse after the first quarter.
- Back-to-back goals from UAlbany's Emma Weaver and Haley Phalines would bring the Purple and Gold's deficit back to within four goals trailing 8-4 with 12:33 remaining in the second.
- 'Cuse closed out the first half, scoring the final seven goals, leading 15-4 after the first 30 minutes of play.
- Following three straight goals to start the third quarter, Dylana Williams notched her first goal as a Great Dane, assisted by Emma Torkoff, to stop the 10-0 run, making it 18-5 Syracuse with 5:15 remaining in the third.
- The final goal of the third quarter would go to the Orange, tacking onto their lead 19-5.
- As Syracuse recorded the first goal of the fourth, Haley Phalines would score UAlbany's sixth goal of the game 10:17 into the fourth, thanks to an assist from Mikeala Mooney.
- Phalines' goal sparked a 4-0 run by the Great Danes with two goals from Courtney Rowe and one from Mooney to make it 20-9 with 3:51 left in the game.
- 'Cuse would strike last scoring with just over a minute remaining as The Orange would take the 21-9 victory.
