How it Happened:
- UAlbany struck first, scoring three goals in a row with back-to-back goals coming from Mikaela Mooney, while Paisley Cook scored a free-position goal to put the Great Danes ahead 3-0 just under five minutes into the game.
- Holy Cross answered back, scoring three unanswered goals to tie it at 3-3, where the score would remain as the quarter expired.
- The Crusaders continued to add to their score through the second quarter by putting up three more goals to lead 6-3.
- At the start of the third, Courtney Rowe found the back of the net for the first time in the game to make it a 6-4 Holy Cross lead.
- Just under a minute later, Holy Cross answered back to lead 7-4 before another quick goal from Co. Rowe for her second goal of the game, making it 7-5.
- As the Crusader followed with another goal, Ava Poupard scored her first goal of the season to help cut UAlbany's deficit to 8-6 for the final goal of the third quarter.
- Holy Cross came out of the fourth scoring within the first minute before scoring three more goals to make it 12-6 just nearly halfway through the fourth.
- Dylana Williams would score for the Great Danes with 5:13 remaining to trim Holy Cross' lead to 12-7.
- As the Crusaders scored, Coiurtney Rowe answered back with her third goal of the game for the first Great Danes Hat Trick of 2025.
- As UAlbany trailed 13-8, Holy Cross scored the final three goals of the contest to take the 16-8 victory over the Great Danes
