Scouting UMass Lowell Â
The River Hawks are coming off a conference loss to Binghamton (66-54). This season UMass Lowell is averaging 80.3 points, 28.2 field goals, 6.8 threes, 17.0 free throws, 37.0 rebounds, 15.1 assists, 12.1 turnovers, 5.8 steals, and 4.4 blocks per game.Â
Leading the points tally for the River Hawks is Quinton Mincey with 370 total and averaging 15.4 per game. Mincey is shooting 1131-289 (.453%) from the field, 34-99 (.34.%) from beyond the arc, and 74-95 (.779%) from the line. Mincey has also tallied the most minutes of any UMass Lowell player (832) and is the only River Hawk averaging over 30 minutes per game (34.7).
Max Brooks holds the team-high field goal tally and has gone 149-215 (.693%). Brooks also records the most rebounds for UMass Lowell with 201 total (45 off – 156 def) and averaging 8.4 per game. The fifth year also leads the team with 64 blocks.
Freshman, Martin Sommerville, has totaled the most steals for the River Hawks with 34. He also tallies the most assists with 67, Mincey is close behing with 66.

DeMarr Langford Jr. (13), and
Amar'e Marshall (11). Neely recorded a double-double with 13 rebounds to go with his 15 points. Both Marshall and Joshua tallied three assists. Marshall led the Great Danes with two steals and 37 minutes of play. UAlbany shot 30-74 (40.5%) from the field, 2-18 (11.1%) from the three, and 7-14 (50.0%) from the free throw line; UMass Lowell Shot 27-56 (48.2%) from the field, 4-22 (18.2 %) from the three, and 15-17 (88.2%) from the free throw line. The River Hawks bested the Great Danes 73-69. Â
Since January 2014 the Purple and Gold are 13-10 all-time against UMass Lowell.Â

February 8, 2025 | The UAlbany men's basketball team hosted Vermont for their first matchup of the season. The Great Danes ultimately fell to the Catamounts 68-62. During the matchup,
Amar'e Marshall led the scoring for the Great Danes with 20 points.
Kacper Klaczek also finished with double digits with 12 points.
Justin Neely recorded a team-high in rebounds (6), followed by
DeMarr Langford Jr. (5),
Byron Joshua (4), and Klaczek (4). Joshua tallied the most steals on the team with two, and Klaczek had the high in assists (4). Marshall and Klaczek had a block each. The Great Danes shot 24-56 (42.9%) from the field, 8-28 (28.6%) from beyond the arc, and 6-8 (75.0%) from the line.

The UAlbany Basketball Postgame Show returns this season to 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio. The show will begin immediately following all games, home and away, for fans to listen to as they commute home or tune in from a distance.Â

The show is set to run for 30 minutes following the final buzzer on 104.5 The Team. Fans will hear initial reactions and a game recap to start the segment followed by interviews with the team. Coach
Dwayne Killings and select student-athletes will join ESPN Radio's Rodger Wyland and Michael Johnson Jr. to break down the contest, give insights, opinions, and responses, and discuss the team's next matchup.Â
