HOW IT HAPPENED
- UAlbany fired off six shots and took two corners but were unable to capitalize in the first quarter
- Mara Küskes got the Great Danes on the board during a corner when she scored with an assist by Pilar Lorenzini to make it 1-0 with 9:48 remaining in the half.
- Stonehill answered back less than four minutes later with a goal of its own to tie it up at one a piece.
- Defense was the story of the third quarter, with both teams combining for only two shots and one corner while the score remained 1-1 heading into the fourth quarter.
- UAlbany held possession for most of the final quarter, taking 10 shots and seven corners.
- On the final one of a five-corner stretch, Küskes maneuvered her way to a second goal with 17 seconds left in the game to put the Great Danes up 2-1.
- The Great Dane defense held for the final seconds of the game and UAlbany took home a 2-1 win on senior day.
