Short Story: The University at Albany men's basketball took on fellow America East and SUNY school Binghamton as the Great Danes took away the close 70-65 win against the Bearcats.
 
Coach Dwayne Killings: "I think you can feel our team more locked in than we've been over the last couple of games. I think the last couple of games, we were frustrated when it didn't go our way. Today we got frustrated, but we fought through it, and we got a really good road win, and I'm proud of our guys."
 
Key Stats:

• DeMarr Langford Jr. went a perfect 5-5 from the field in 37 minutes of play with five rebounds (3 off – 2 def), and five steals.
• Byron Joshua led the Great Danes in scoring with 15 points.
• Justin Neely, Byron Joshua, and Kacper Klaczek all recorded two assists.
• UAlbany outrebounded Binghamton 32-29.
• UAlbany went 22-51 (43.1%) from the field, 7-26 (26.9%) beyond the arc, and 19-25 (76.0%) from the free-throw line.

How it Happened:

• UAlbany and Binghamton started out exchanging threes as the Bearcats pulled ahead 6-3 1:10 into the contest with Byron Joshua hitting The Purple and Golds' opening field goal.
• The Great Danes would go on a 7-0 run with 16:03 left in the half to lead 10-6, highlighted by four points from DeMarr Langford Jr. and a successful And-1 from Justin Neely.
• With three threes and two free throws, Binghamton would regain the lead 14-10 as 12:24 remained on the clock.
• A 12-3 run by the Purple and Gold, led by five separate Great Danes, including a big steal and score dunk from Langford Jr., saw UAlbany lead again 22-17 at the 7:21 mark of the first half.
• The Bearcats' first four field goals of the game all came from beyond the three-point line.
• With 6:09 on the clock, the Great Danes led 26-19 following free throws from Amar'e Marshall and Amir Lindsey.
• Binghamton would return its deficit to one following six straight points, 26-25 with 4:31 left before half.
• A three from Kheni Briggs would help bring UAlbany back to a 33-27 lead with just under two minutes remaining.
• With 1:15 left in the first, the Great Danes would score five in a row to make it 33-32, the Great Danes lead entering the half.
• Binghamton started the second half on an 11-4 run to go ahead 41-37 with 15:15 left on the clock.
• Both teams would trade seven points as the Bearcats still led 48-44 with Kacper Klaczek hitting a three at 12:06 to highlight UAlbany's scoring.
• A 5-2 run from UAlbany would tie the game 49-49, at 10:37 in the second, highlighted by a driving layup from Byron Joshua.
• A three from Amir Lindsey gave the Great Danes a 52-51 lead with 9:04 to play.
• With the Bearcats looking to run away with the game, taking a 56-52 lead, a 12-0 run from the Great Danes gave the Purple and Gold a big 64-56 lead with 4:34 remaining.
• Bing would answer back outscoring UAlbany 7-2, bringing its deficit to within three as the Purple and Gold led 66-63 with 1:33 on the clock.
• The final 30 seconds saw Joshua be sent to the line going 4-4 on free throws to clinch the Great Danes 70-65 win.
