Short Story: The University at Albany men's basketball traveled north to Orono, Maine as the Black Bears would come away with the 87-66 win.
Coach Dwayne Killings: "Maine played well, they were well prepared, their guys shared the ball…We didn't execute effectively offensively and just slowed down as the game went on…We get back to practice on Monday…It's going to be a tough game Thursday vs Bryant and we've got to get back on our feet and grow."

- Kacper Klaczek recorded a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds shooting 6-9 (66.7%) from the field and 3-4 (75.0%) from the free throw line.
- Amar'e Marshall recorded four assists.
- DeMarr Langford Jr. led the team with two steals.
- The Great Danes outrebounded the Black Bears 40-23 throughout the game where off the glass they outrebounded Maine 15-2 on offense and 25-21 defensively.

How it Happened:
- Maine opened the game with a 6-0 run before UAlbany responded with a 6-0 run to tie it 6-6, highlighted by four points from Kacper Klaczek at the 16:04 mark.
- Amar'e Marshall and Justin Neely's baskets would help the Great Danes go ahead 10-8 before a three from the Black Bears allowed Maine to regain the lead 11-10 with 12:05 to play in the first half.
- Following back-to-back threes, Maine would take a 19-12 lead over the Great Danes with 9:05 on the clock before the end of the first.
- UAlbany would bring it a Maine two-possession lead, but Langford Jr. and Neely, with a layup apiece, helped keep it 22-16 at 7:59.
- Maine would follow up, outscoring the Purple and Gold 9-2 and taking a 31-18 lead with 5:10 on the clock in the first.
- A 6-2 run by the Great Danes allowed UAlbany to come back to a single-digit deficit of 33-24 at 3:42 thanks to four more points from Kacper Klaczek.
- At 2:05 Langford Jr. would knock down a three making it 35-28.
- In the final minute, Zane Adnan knocked down a three off an assist from Amar'e Marshall before the Black Bears recorded a three of their own before half making it a 43-31 Maine lead entering the first half.
- Maine started the second half on a 10-2 run pulling ahead 53-33 with 16:29 to play.
- The Black Bears continued pulling ahead jumping out to a 65-42 lead with Klaczek recording five more points bringing his total up to 13 points in the game at 10:39.
- UAlbany and Maine would go trade baskets, maintaining a Black Bears 72-52 lead with 7:32 to play.
- A series of free throws from both sides in the final minutes of the game would eventually see Maine take away the 87-64 victory.
