How it Happened Game 1:
- The Great Danes gave Michael DiMartino the bump. Lance Koenig started across from him for the Red Foxes.
- Getting the offense going early, Anthony Scarabino worked a walk and stole second to get into scoring position. Scarabino came into score on a hard-hit groundball by Will Binder that forced an error, giving UAlbany a 1-0 advantage in the first inning.
- After Michael Maggio reached base with a single, Kai Cottle came in to pitch for Marist.
- Keeping things going, Maggio scored on a wild pitch. Luke Filippi drove in two runs with a single to right field, extending the Great Danes' lead to 4-0.
- The Red Foxes cut into the deficit in the bottom of the second with Bayram Hot scoring on a wild pitch, making it 4-1.
- With two outs in the top of the fourth, Binder was hit-by-pitch. Ryan Ferremi capitalized with an RBI double to center field to push the score to 5-1.
- Andrew Fierro was called in from the pen by Marist in the fourth.
- Kyle McCaffrey was brought in by UAlbany in the bottom of the fourth with a runner on first.
- Loading the bases with free passes, Marist tied the contest with Lewis Rodriguez launching a grand slam.
- Leading off the sixth inning, Kyle Pollack slugged a solo shot to take the lead. Hot doubled to keep the momentum going and scored on a Colin Mackle single, making it 7-5.
- Jason Goldblum was called in to pitch for UAlbany in the sixth inning.
- Extending their lead in the sixth inning, Marist scored a pair of runs from wild pitches.
- The Red Foxes claimed game one of the doubleheader, 9-5.
How it Happened Game 2:
- Connor Eisenmann got the starting nod for the Great Danes. Ty Morris started for the Red Foxes.
- UAlbany bats got hot early, following a single by Anthony Scarabino and a Will Binder walk, Ryan Ferremi hit a rope to center field for a double to bring in the first run of the game. Luke Filippi followed with a single to left to drive in two more. Levi McAllister capped off the inning with a solo home run to left field, giving the Great Danes an early 4-run lead.
- Nick Buchman was brought in to pitch in the second inning by Marist.
- The Red Foxes lead off the second inning with a double by Bayram Hot. Hot eventually came around to score on a sac fly, making it 4-1.
- Ethan Conrad opened the third inning with a single through the right side. Conrad scored on a double by Justin Kapuscinski. Hot tied the game with a two-run homer to center, making it 4-4.
- Marist called in Chris Ubner to pitch with runners on first and second in the fourth.
- Scarabino singled up the middle to drive in Cooper Loyal and give the Great Danes a 5-4 lead.
- In the bottom of the fifth, Conrad hit a lead-off double and scored on a ground ball to shortstop to level the score.
- Scarabino got the seventh inning started with a triple off the wall. Binder brought him around to score with a single up the middle, giving UAlbany a 6-5 lead.
- Riley Orr was brought in with a runner on first for Marist.
- The Great Danes called on Steven Turk to pitch in the bottom of the seventh.
- Down to their last out, Marist's Kapuscinski pulled a solo home run to send the game into extra innings.
- Cam Fuer was called on to pitch by UAlbany in the bottom of the eighth.
- Lewis Rodriguez kept the inning alive with a single through the left side. Austin Bolhman walked it off as Marist claimed the 8-7 victory.
