 Short Story: Mistakes proved costly as UAlbany baseball fell in both games of Sunday's doubleheader at home.

Head Coach Jon Mueller"We really struggled in all three facets throughout the weekend; we were playing uphill, we struggled on the mound, and had major breakdowns defensively. We have a lot to learn from this weekend. Obviously, a big matchup with Marist on Tuesday and we have to get ready for a good UMBC club next weekend."
 
 How it Happened Game 1:
  • The Great Danes gave Matt Mariano the start on the bump in game two. Luke Delongchamp started for Bryant.
  • The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the second inning with back-to-back doubles by Shay Grady and Chris Einemann. Gavin Noriega then singled to right field to drive another run. Carmine Petosa capped off the inning with a three-run home run, giving Bryant a 6-0 advantage.
  • Capitalizing on errors, Bryant added two runs to their lead before Zac Zyons slugged a three-run homer to make it 11-0.
  • Luke Boule came into pitch for the Great Danes in the fourth inning.
  • With two runners on in the fifth inning, Carmine Petosa launched a three-run home run to extned the Bulldogs' lead. 
  • The Bulldogs brought in Trey Deitelbaum from the pen in the sixth inning. 
  • Bryant continued to push ahead in the seventh inning with Daniel Baruch muscling a three-run home run, pushing the score to 17-0.
  • Loading the bases in the seventh inning, Jared Toby worked a walk to bring in Anthony Scarabino. Justin Hurd brought in another with a fielder's choice to the pitcher down the baseline. 
  • Tyler Tornburg was brought in to pitch by the Bulldogs with the bases loaded. 
  • UAlbany saw another run cross the plate on an error by the pitcher before Luke Myers walked to score the Great Danes' fourth run of the inning. 
  • The Bulldogs claimed game one of the doubleheader, 17-4.
 
How it Happened Game 2:
  • Dylan Banner got the starting nod for the Great Danes. Tyler Horvat started for the Bulldogs.
  • UAlbany opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with Ryan Ferremi shooting a single out to left center to drive in Luke Myers, giving the Great Danes an early 1-0 advantage.
  • Bryant answered back in the third inning with Gavin Noriega mashing a lead-off home run. Following consecutive walks, Matt Smith roped a single to center field to drive in two runs, giving the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead.
  • Owen Birkman came into pitch for the Great Danes in the fourth inning. 
  • Loading the bases in the sixth inning, Zac Zyons hit a two-run RBI single to right field. Byrant added two more runs from an error in center field, making it 7-1.
  • UAlbany called on Steven Turk to pitch in the seventh inning. 
  • In the top of the eighth, the Bulldogs added insurance runs with Noriega slugging a two-run home run. Daniel Baruch lined a double down the left-field line to score a run. Smith capped off the inning with an RBI single, extending Bryant's lead to 11-1.
  • In the bottom of the eighth inning, Landon White was brought in to pitch by the Bulldogs.
  • Jared Burrows was called to pitch in the ninth inning for Bryant. 
  • The Bulldogs claimed the final game of the series, 11-1.
